Capital City Catering was created in 2007 and quickly become known in the midlands of
South Carolina for catering with their ability to provide an unparalleled quality of food and décor for all types of event including corporate, social and wedding receptions.
The majority of clients that Capital City Catering received came by referral from other industry professionals and past clients. While this is an excellent compliment, it didn't offer enough volume to allow Capital City Catering the ability to really grow their business as fast as they would have liked.
Our team conceptualized a website that contains many features and functions that provide solid, measurable solutions. By understanding the demographic of Capital City Catering’s clientele, we also integrated a mobile website along with video that would help illustrate just how contracting Capital City Catering versus their competition would enhance their respective event.
It’s about the food! We understand that an event is only as successful as the food that is provided. This is why our team designed the website to contain a number of features that highlighted the food. The homepage starts with a coverflow effect that enables the website visitor to instantly become engaged with the images of food presentation.
The home page also contains multiple videos that our video team produced. One video represents our client’s ability to create a corporate business event out of an empty classroom setting by creating different stations with full themed décor. The other video illustrates our client’s involvement in a wedding reception from start to finish. Video is one of the most engaging forms of marketing due to its ability to quickly enable the viewer to imagine themselves or in this case, their event as the one in the video.
The interactive menu really sets this website apart. We designed a menu that enables a website visitor to “create” their own event menu by selecting any menu items that might like. The system saves the chosen food items and then allows the visitor to print their list, email the list to themselves or their friends, submit the list for pricing or simply continue browsing. This website feature has been an extremely popular tool and more than 1000 people have used the tool in the past year alone. Capital City Catering has full administrative rights to this tool and can make any changes within a few clicks.
This industry is very competitive and therefore an aggressive SEO initiative was launched. This type of marketing has increased traffic to this client’s website in large quantities.
Capital City Catering has partnered with Splash Omnimedia on their web, mobile web, print collateral, SEO and video production.
