17 different communities, a custom construction division and a full design studio that all were separate profit centers was a challenge for our team, since each offered a vast array of services / products.
Public awareness on the differentiators between Shumaker Homes and other local homebuilders was also extremely important.
Their former website wasn’t ranking and therefore wasn’t receiving the number of visits that were needed to continue a successful marketing initiative.
Shumaker Homes requested a website that was unique to the construction industry while maintaining a top ranking within the search engines.
The initial phases were tasked by our search engine specialist. Ranking this project highly in the search engines was a priority so understanding the keywords and the online competition was essential to a successful strategy.
The website designers then took the reins and quickly determined the need to integrate a microsite per subdivision. With each subdivision containing its own set of floor plans, available homes and relative area information, the microsite was able to convey all of this information in a simple, user friendly manner.
In fact, after designing the microsites for each subdivision, the decision was made to keep this same design consistent and integrate the microsite for both the custom build section and design studio.
