The Impact of Partnerships

Peanuts, hot dogs, and partnerships. Baseball season this year marked the beginning of an exciting new partnership between Splash Omnimedia and the Columbia Fireflies.
As any business owner knows, two heads are better than one and partnerships have the ability to bring companies together in order to accomplish a common goal. They provide increased exposure for both parties and ultimately – your ability to reach more customers.

With our newly formed partnership, Splash Omnimedia with the help from the Columbia Fireflies set out to make a splash during the 2017 season. We knew we wanted to create a campaign with the goal of building brand awareness within the local community and we decided to use one of our favorite digital platforms, social media!

Up for the challenge, our team built a social media photo contest for Fireflies fans and offered a chance to win a free splashed out golf cart. To enter, participants simply had to take a selfie at any Fireflies game and post it on Splash Omnimedia’s Facebook page with the hashtag, #SplashCart. The #SplashCart was designed with a fun and engaging wrap that brought the partnership between our two companies together visually.

Well, after a full season we know one thing is true – people must like free golf carts! We had hundreds of entries by the time the last pitch was thrown! We selected the winner at random and presented the keys to them during one of the final games of the season. For those who couldn’t attend the game, we broadcasted the giveaway live on Facebook.

Without our partnership with the Columbia Fireflies, we wouldn’t have seen such success this season. We cannot thank their team enough for the support they have provided us. We look forward to many more years, and giveaways, to come!
